ISSA is owned and managed by Clive Grandin.

During his 23 years of dedicated service at the Department of Home Affairs, Clive Grandin became involved in all aspects of the workings of the Department.

From 1996 he specialised in Immigration and Citizenship and in 1997 he completed a Diploma in Public Management and Administration through the Technikon RSA.

He passed a course cum laude (the highest mark awarded in KZN) in 2001 to become a member of a core group of experts in Permanent Residence for the Department of Home Affairs.

In 2007 he was requested by the Provincial Manager to head, Permitting (Immigration), in the Province. In the Department of Home Affairs the Permitting section includes all forms of Work Permits, Study Permits, Visitors Permits and Permanent Residence. He left the Department on 1 October 2007 to start Immigration Services South Africa. (ISSA)

He is registered as an Immigration Practitioner with the Forum of Immigration Practitioners of South Africa FIPSA (see certificate) Membership Number GHGD- SQ and was the Chairperson until 2025 of the KwaZulu Natal region. He has received an award for Excellence for Years of Service (see certificate). Clive Grandin is well known for his customer service, professionalism, honesty and efficiency, which are central values in this business.

Home Affairs wins Constitutional Court case against repeat asylum applications

The Department of Home Affairs has won a significant victory against abuse of the asylum system through today’s judgment of the Constitutional Court in Director-General, Department of Home Affairs and Others v Irankunda and Another. In its majority ruling, the Court upheld the Department’s appeal against an earlier ruling from the Supreme Court of Appeal by confirming that repeat asylum applications are not permitted once an original application has been finally determined.

Minister Schreiber welcomes Cabinet approval of Revised White Paper on Citizenship, Immigration and Refugee Protection

The Minister of Home Affairs, Dr Leon Schreiber, has welcomed Cabinet’s approval of the Revised White Paper on Citizenship, Immigration and Refugee Protection. Cabinet approval followed after an extensive programme of public consultation undertaken by the Department of Home Affairs, which covered all nine provinces and generated thousands of inputs from stakeholders and members of the public.
